Currently much of Rhode Island is blanketed in smoke with a burning rubber/brush smell caused by fires up in Canada

Several incidents have been investigated and all have been from the wildfires in Canada with no active fire here locally . Please don’t hesitate to call 911 if you see a fire or a smoke column. Photo is from interstate 95 looking south from the old exit 4 showing the thick smoke.
