| HOPKINTON, R.I. (WPRI) Samantha Sugerman – Two men from Fitchburg died Saturday night in a wreck on I-95 in Hopkinton.
According to the State Police, the crash happened a few minutes before 10 p.m. on 95 South between Exits 2 and 3.
The victims’ car rear-ended another vehicle, hit the center median, and rolled over several times. Neither man was wearing a seat belt and both were ejected.
The driver, 32 year-old Sean McCarriston, was pronounced dead at Kent County Hospital. His passenger, 23 year-old Ryan Gromada, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car that was rear-ended was taken to Westerly Hospital where he was treated for injuries that aren’t thought to be life-threatening.
State Police said that it does not appear drugs or alcohol were factors, but the investigation continues. |
