After the winds had died down during Hurricane Sandy, Hope Valley firefighters responded to a barn fire on 813 Main Street, just below Wood River Health Services. The fire started around 11:30 at night on Monday, October 29th. Crews from Ashaway and Carolina were quickly called in to help put out the fire that had already begun to engulf the entire structure.
