| First arriving Richmond Police officers found a car had struck and snapped a telephone pole with high tension lines down and an active telephone pole fire and minor injuries.
Firefighters closed the road down for approximately one hour to allow Rhode Island Energy time to get on scene and de-energize the lines and to get the vehicle removed. RI energy was on scene for several hours restoring service after replacing the pole. Firefighters were returned to service in approximately an hour and a half.
