When to Call the Fire Station VS. When to Call 911 |

| A neighboring Chief shared this and it definitely is worth repeating as it is a common occurrence locally Over the past few months, we have noticed an increase in direct calls to the Fire Station for incidents where the caller needs us to respond. Whether it was for alarms chirping, a lockout of a vehicle, or outside fires; it may not be a life or death incident, and the idea of calling 911 may seem extreme, but we want you to call 911. The 911 phones are covered 24/7/365 with a dispatcher to answer the calls. With the unexpected nature of our business, we can not guarantee someone will be at the fire station to answer phone calls. Call volume, training, and walkthroughs are just some of the reasons we may not be in the building when you call. If your call is informational or to schedule an appointment then yes, please call us at 401-539-2229. If we are not available, please leave a message with the appropriate party and we will return your call. Your call does matter to us |
