Additional tankers were called from multiple mutual aid partners to help us with water for vapor suppression. Firefighters were able to access the leak site for damage assessment while accessing the liquid withdrawal valve to began flaring off the propane. Firefighters were on scene several hours until all of the liquid propane had burned off leaving a small propane vapor flame to burn safely through the night into this afternoon eliminating the hazard.
A huge thank you to our mutual aid partners for their assistance at this scene as well as the Stillson Road incident occurring at the same time. Also thank you to the Providence Canteen for being there for us on the scene.
