HVWFD Responds to MVA with a Pedestrian Struck

At approximately 5:30 Sunday morning the Hope Valley-Wyoming Fire District along with the Hope Valley Ambulance Squad were dispatched to Interstate 95 north between exits 2 and 3 for a report of a 3 car motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Chief Jason Caswell was on the scene shortly after and reported the accident was approximately a mile south of exit 3 and for the first in ambulance to respond to the southbound side of the highway for a pedestrian that had been struck from the northbound accident. Hope Valley Ambulance transported the patient to Rhode Island Hospital with severe but non-life-threatening injuries.
