At 4:30 Friday evening Engine 912 and Tanker 916 were dispatched to 66 Shannock Hill Rd in Richmond for a possible structure fire. As units were responding Westerly Dispatch received several more 911 calls stating there was fire to the rear of the residence and possibly pets trapped. Car 601 arrived on scene first confirming a working fire and gave the command for the first due engine (Carolina's Engine 613) to lay a feeder line into the fire. The second due engine (Hope Valley's Engine 912) was requested to continue the feeder line and send their man power to the fire. Engine 912's officer went to the roof and provided vertical ventilation with Engine 613's officer, while additional crew members assisted in overhaul. Due to the aggressive interior attack, damage to the structure was very limited.
