The Hope Valley-Wyoming Haz-Mat team took part in an eleven hour training scenario that was part of a five day long training that took place at the Ladd Center. Other teams in attendance were the National Guard, local Decon teams, EPA, and Homeland Security. The HVW Haz-Mat team was tested on their ability to take patients out of a hot zone and determine what chemicals were in the hot zone. Drills like these are a huge benefit to our team and make us better prepared for anything from a natural disaster to a domestic terrorist attack.
