Fire crews and Hope Valley Ambulance were dispatched to 61 Camp Yawgoog Road (Camp Yawgoog on the back side of the pond) for a dog that had fallen through the ice while out hiking with its owners. Working together with Yawgoog Rangers, firefighters were able to locate the hikers and coordinate rescue of the dog via boat from across the pond.
With a great team effort, the dog was successfully rescued and transferred to the Hopkinton Animal Control officer for transport to an animal hospital. The K9 was extremely happy to get into the heat with the ACO. Great work by all.
