Yesterday afternoon, Hope Valley Hazmat was requested to the scene of a hazmat incident on Ashaway road in the town of Westerly. Hazmat units conducted air monitoring, and sampling/testing/identification of unknown substances as requested by RIDEM Hazmat Division. Scene was released to Westerly police department after completing all hazmat operations to continue the investigation.
