On Monday October 15, Hope Valley Hazmat was requested to Ashaway Fire District for assistance with a large gasoline spill at the Bestway on Ashaway Road. Hazmat team members assisted firefighters on scene in containing the spill, blocking access to storm drains and in collecting the remaining spilled gasoline with fuel absorbent pads and boom for disposal. The scene was released to Rhode Island DEM hazmat division for cleanup.
