At 1:30 Saturday afternoon Hope Valley Firefighters were called out to Canob Pond behind Dragon Palace for a reported ice fisherman through the ice, and a second fisherman stuck on the pond. First arriving companies determined the first fisherman had self rescued, but a second fisherman was still in need of assistance. Firefighters donned ice rescue suits and deployed a Rescue Alive sled to assist the second fisherman, while EMS evaluated the first fisherman.
