Firefighters Battle Barn Fire

At 2:05 Wednesday morning firefighters were dispatched to Dye Hill Rd for a reported fully involved structure fire. Car 901 (Chief Lee) was the first to arrive on scene confirming a fully involved barn fire, and requested two additional tankers. Engines 913, 912 and Tanker 915 arrived on scene shortly after and deployed 2 - 2" attack lines. Ashaway's Engine 414 arrived on scene as the 3rd due engine and put a 3rd attack line in service. The fire was quickly put under control, but extensive overhaul was required, keeping firefighters on scene till 4:45. Carolina's Engine 614 secured a water source with Car 903 (Deputy Champlin).
