By Lieutenant Phil Tretton
October 5, 2014

At 10:00 AM Sunday the Hope Valley-Wyoming Fire District was requested to respond into Ashaway for a possible structure fire. Engine 912 responded in as the 2nd due engine and Tanker 916 responded in for the Tanker Task Force. Ashaway's Engine 414 was the first due engine and confirmed a working structure fire when they arrived on scene. Engine 912's manpower was requested to back up Engine 414's interior crew, while a crew from Westerly's Engine 2 cut a vent hole in the roof. The fire was contained to a small portion of the house due to an aggressive interior attack.

Units: Engine 912 and Tanker 916
