Late Sunday night, October 30th, Hope Valley-Wyoming Firefighters responded as mutual aid to a mill fire in Ashaway. The nearly 200 year old building caught on fire around 11:30pm and due to the condition of the building, the fire spread quickly. Firefighters stayed on scene for more than twelve hours. Hope Valley along with many southern Rhode Island and Connecticut fire departments sent tankers to help provide water for the fire. The cause of the fire remains to be unknown.
